LINDSEY VONN FOR SNOW MAGAZINE
Creating winter images in July is always a challenge. Specially when it has to be in Malibu, CA. I photographed world’s best female ski racer of all time, Lindsey Vonn in beach house near Malibu this July.
SNOW MAGAZINE wanted to create story with Lindsey tin a cool retro way, yet give the feel of modern and past time ski fashion combined. The location had to be near Los Angeles, where Lindsey was in July and we also had to find neutral background to be able to strip in mountains for the cover. On a very gloomy July day we rented a Malibu beach house and got to work. Lindsey was fantastic. We had heavy overcast all day long, which turned out to be the best light situation we could wish for, to make it even look more old school.
