VINTAGE BICYCLE RACE
I have always been drawn to classic designs and mid century styles. Driving a 1965 Plymouth Barracuda, I love everything about this era. The L’Eroica classic bicycle race in California is a 108 mile race with vintage road bicycles built before 1987. A perfect homage to classic high tech. Some of the participants even rode original bicycles from the 1930s with matching outfits. So when I got the opportunity to photograph this race, I was totally thrilled and super excited. This race is about enjoying the way people raced decades ago, accessing the most stunning landscapes on gravel and dirt roads. As Giancarlo Brocci, Creator of L'Eroica aptly says: “We want people to rediscover the beauty of fatigue and the taste of accomplishment”
