Journalistic work has been a part of my life since more than three decades. Whether it is assignment work or just having the right photographs ready for a cool story, it is always wonderful to see magazines out there with pages and pages of my work. The two magazines here are the Italian design magazine PQ and the New York based Elliman magazine.

I photographed Olympic ski racer Julia Mancuso for Snow Magazine in a studio in New York City. When I got the assignment, I realized it was pretty much the due date of our not yet born daughter. So I begged my wife : Please just don't go into labor on that day ! When I went to the studio that morning, I didn't know that she went to the hospital with her sister because she thought she was very close. I finished the 10 hour day with Julia and went back home. Nothing has changed there. That night though Amber woke me up at 3 am and told me it will happen. We went to the hospital on this Saturday at 6.45 am. Mila Vivienne was born 7.49 am that morning. That is why this photoshoot with Julia will always be a special one for me.
The biggest billboard I ever created. It was paced in downtown Munich / Germany to attract tourists to Austria.
